FROM HERE AND ELSEWHERE...

In 2022, the idea was born from the strength of a man capable of being French and foreign, exiled but French. French Abroad germinated in Canada: Christian Lobet took a language course there to perfect his English. Surrounded by Brazilians, Koreans and Mexicans, he realized that his origins were the stuff of dreams: "Ah Paris! How lucky you are! But what are you doing here when you come from the most beautiful of capitals!" Seen from elsewhere, France seemed radically different. Christian adopted this distant view and everything seemed funny and enchanting to him, like in the cartoon Dexter's Laboratory. He listened to the city dwellers of Toronto and the expatriates fire off the famous cult line that Dexter uses to seduce girls: "Omelette du Fromage". He was amused by the foreigners who thought that these "Damned Frenchmen" said "Oh La La" and "Sacrebleu" every morning. This makes him want to play with language and idiomatic expressions. Language becomes the brand's DNA. "Yes, yes", the first phrase reproduced on a sweatshirt sounds a bit like a rallying sign! The French love these winks of belonging, foreigners are crazy about them, they are the "Open Sesame", the magic phrases that will perhaps allow you to get a "French kiss"!
